Remove inside handle bezel.
My inner handle wont open the door.
Using a screwdriver remove the inside handle bezel as shown in the illustration.
If you have the tools and skills you need to take the panel out from the doors inside so you can get access to the mechanical elements of the car door.
Begin by checking the keyway for blockage.
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
If this is the problem clean the paint off.
Next open the door and try to adjust the lock assembly to see what is stuck.
If the set screw on the handle is stripped and difficult to tighten replace it with a new one.
If so the inside release handle has to be reinserted properly or the door will not open.

If the cable or rod that connects the door handle to the latch assembly is damaged or has come loose the door will not open.

Some models have handles that have no screw but are held on by locks which are disengaged by sliding the bezel either forward or back.
If the inner handle isn t placed properly and fit exactly into place it will also create problems and fail to open even if the inner door clip is not broken.
See if this retracts the handle.
